LEM, the single-use ligator

The LEM single-use hemorrhoidal ligator has established itself as one of the most widely used medical devices in Europe for the type of surgical operations for which it is intended.

The LEM single-use ligator

Designed by Sapi Med, the LEM single-use ligator is a medical device that facilitates the work of proctologists. Recognizable by its transparent plastic gun shape, it allows the practitioner to perform meticulous work and benefit from a wide field of vision throughout the procedure.

The LEM is a reliable, robust, and shock-resistant instrument. In compliance with EC Directive 93/42, it is available in two different versions to meet the surgeon's needs: suction and traction. Both models have a wide 10 mm diameter cylinder to facilitate the holding of the hemorrhoidal nodule, an ergonomic handle designed for a perfect grip, and a trigger that triggers the expulsion of the spring ring.

Suction and traction ligator

The LEM single-use suction ligator is distinguished by its nozzle located at the base of the handle. This port allows for the connection of a low-pressure surgical aspirator. The device is activated with a simple finger movement, allowing the airflow to be controlled when treating the nodule.

The LEM single-use traction ligator is visually identical, however the segment that will be introduced into the patient's anal canal consists of an open cylinder into which the surgeon inserts the traction forceps used to extract the nodule and at the base of which the elastic will be positioned.

Sapi Med's single-use ligator

The LEM hemorrhoidal ligator is a product of Sapi Med, the Italian company specializing in proctology medical devices. Founded in 1981 with the creation of its very first device, the Dilatan anal dilator, Sapi Med has established itself as one of the leading companies in colorectal surgery. It is based in the city of Alessandria in the Piedmont region of Italy.
